The School Day

Children in Years 1 to 6 should arrive at school at 8.45am and go directly to their classroom for "early bird maths" .

Entry to school is through the black gates on Duke Street. (Y5 and 6 children come in and exit through the main school office entrance).

For Reception to Y6 the school day ends at 3.15pm. (32.5 hours per week, including early bird maths)

The school gate opens at 8.40am.

Children who arrive after the register is taken at 8.55am but before 9.25am are marked as late. Arrival after 9.25am is classified as an unauthorised absence.

To avoid congestion, we politely request that parents of Year 1 to Year 6 children do not come into school with their children at the start of the day. This is  in order for children to become independent and come into school on their own.

At the end of the school day, Reception to Year 2 will be dismissed from their classroom doors and Year 3 - Year 6 led out of class by their class teachers at 3.15 pm.

Staff want to work closely with you and maintain good communications. If you wish to speak to your child’s teacher on an urgent matter, please try to make an appointment to do so at the end of the day, if possible. This will prevent delays to the start of the school day.
