The Governors are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, highly motivated, passionate and caring teacher who is committed to raising standards for children at our inclusive school. The school serves a diverse community which has an increasing number of vulnerable families supported by pupil premium funding.
The successful candidate will be a positive, highly motivated team player, who is keen to grow as a professional, having high expectations of themselves. They must also have high expectations of pupil’s achievement and behaviour. The governors are seeking someone who is keen to get to know children as individuals and who is able to work flexibly, as part of a caring, nurturing team.
The post will be based within key stage 1. Experience of teaching this age phase, early reading, early number and phonics is essential,

Observations of candidates working with children will take place on Tuesday 14th & Wednesday 15th April.
Interviews for successfully observed candidates will take place on Monday 20th April. At the interview, candidates will be expected to make a 5 minute (maximum) presentation, entitled “How I would make an impact at Duke Street Primary School”.
