Well, as you may be aware, today was the day when we were due to host Duke Street's Got Talent The Final! I know everyone will be disappointed with the fact that this event can't go ahead, and it will not be possible to rearrange it for the revised date of 18th June, as we had planned, either.

However, we do not want this event to simply disappear from the school calendar altogether. So, we are inviting children to submit their performances electronically.  These could be, for example, singing, dancing, gymnastics, magic, jokes or even pieces of artwork, which is a talent that has not lent itself to a performance on stage

DSGT is not now confined to the people who were awarded places in the final, or even just the people who auditioned in February. Any child can enter. Any talent can be shared.

We are asking for entries to be emailed to email address for your class. Aim for your videos of your performance to be around one minute long. (So not a whole song, just an edited version.) These will then be put into a class file and then, depending on the number of entries, they will ultimately published on the school website. By sending in your entries, you are giving permission for these images to be shared online.

This is not a competition with  first, second and third  being awarded. It will simply be a celebration of rich talent across the school.

The deadline for submission of entries is Sunday 19th April(which is the date which would have been the last day of the Easter holiday.)

Will you show the world how talented you are?  I've got a feeling you will!..........

Good luck everyone! From Mr Kidd
