Really good start to the new year. On Tuesday we took part in the Sports hall athletics competition at Albany High School, we competed in a number of different track and field events. After the scores were calculated we came 2nd. This could also mean Duke Street going to the grand finals later on this year.
On Wednesday we took part in a dodgeball competition at Parklands High School. There were 9 other schools involved in this competition. The schools were split into 2 pools, pool A & B. At the start of the competition it was explained to all the schools that dodgeball is a fun game and its nice to win but most importantly its about being honest. At the end of the competition we had won our pool and been recognised and rewarded for demonstrating ‘honesty ‘ We now have to wait and see if we have been selected to take part in the school games championship in Blackpool in July
