Senior Leadership Team

This is advanced notification of staff changes, to take effect from September 2020.  Mr Kidd has asked the governors if he can change his working commitment in school from full time to 3 days a week and they have agreed.

From September 2020, governors have asked Mrs Ridley to become co-headteacher with Mr Kidd.  Governors have also asked Miss Parkinson to return to full-time work, as deputy headteacher, meaning the capacity of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) remains the same as it is now.  Mr Reay will remain Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Co-ordinator (SENDCO) but as assistant head.

The governors have full confidence in the SLT that all the areas of responsibility will be covered for the next academic year, under these new arrangements.  Areas of leadership are distributed amongst senior staff already and, with our safeguarding and nurture teams, we have considerable strength in depth and leadership experience in all areas of school life.   Consequently, there should be little or no change in the how the leadership of the school “feels” from September 2020, even if some tasks are being carried out by different members of the leadership team.
