Bob Marley Day - Thursday February 6th 2020

We are looking into the life of a significant individual of the past in our History work at Duke Street Primary School. To celebrate the 75th anniversary of his birth, we are having a Bob Marley day at school. His birthday is celebrated all over the world  and he is remembered as someone who used his music to help people stand up to inequality and greed.

Children are invited to come to school wearing any of the traditional colours of Jamaica, which are gold, green and black. They will be taking part in lots of activities based around music, dance, art, history and geography. If you have any resources or Jamaican links you would like to share with school, please contact Miss Zawistowicz via the school office.

Many thanks

Miss. Zawistowicz (History subject lead)
